export@zzzkelin.comLindela catalyst is a unique supported palladium hydrogenation catalyst, mainly used for selective catalytic hydrogenation reactions. It is made of palladium adsorbed on a carrier and a small amount of inhibitor added. Common carriers are CaCO3 and BaSO4, and inhibitors include lead salts, bismuth salts or lead-bismuth mixtures. Lindlar catalyst has a highly selective hydrogenation effect on acetylenic bonds, and can only hydrogenate acetylenic bonds during the hydrogenation process without affecting other polyene bonds.
Application areas
Pharmaceutical synthesis: Lindlar catalyst is widely used in drug synthesis. For example, it is used to prepare 25-hydroxycholesterol, which is an important precursor for the generation of 1,25-(OH)2D3, which is essential for bone formation and calcification. In addition, the catalyst is also used for the hydrogenation of vitamin A intermediates, selectively hydrogenating only acetylenic bonds without affecting other polyene bonds.
Species and flavors synthesis: In the synthesis of spices and flavors, the highly selective hydrogenation of Lindlar catalyst enables it to efficiently synthesize specific flavor ingredients to meet the needs of different products.
Environmental protection: Lindlar’s catalyst recovery technology can effectively recover valuable resources from spent catalysts, and therefore has been widely used in the environmental protection field4.
