Columnar Activated Carbon For Oil And Gas Recovery

Columnar Activated Carbon is also known as pellet activated carbon. Activated carbon adsorption oil and gas recovery technology is one of the more mature technologies at present. It mainly uses high-efficiency activated carbon as an adsorbent. This technology has high recovery efficiency, safety and stability, and is widely used in oil and gas recovery projects at home and abroad.

Specifications

Spec Unit Data
Particle size mm 0.5-3
CTC % ≥90
Iodine value Mg/g ≥1200
Specific surface area M2/g ≥1200
BWC % ≥10
Hardness % >92
Bulk density kg/m3 300-500

Application

Oil and gas recovery has higher requirements for columnar activated carbon. In addition to high iodine value, high specific surface area, and high carbon tetrachloride value, this activated carbon also requires a relatively average particle size and high BWC.

Tips

BWC full working capacity of butane. The working capacity of butane is defined as the difference between the saturated adsorption capacity of butane per unit volume of activated carbon and the amount of butane remaining after being purged by dry air under specified conditions.
